As Google's Catherine Roe ticked through countless new innovations in field of search--some as new as the last couple weeks, she also let us know that each one still lives up to the company's mission: to organize the world's information and make it accessible and useful.
From Google Goggles to Near Me Now we've got countless ways to seek out information. It's localized, it's social, it's real-time and it's personal. The Wonder Wheel lets you see the DNA of your brand and how the community is responding to it.
My favorite comment was one of her examples about how people are not just incorporating search into their lives, but relying on it to get through their lives. Catherine said she's heard moms say that search is their new brain--they no longer have to remember a recipe they used a year ago--it's either highlighted in purple in their search results or they've starred it.
