Our own Nita Rollins spoke to Foodspotting's Alexa Andrzejewski about this new, but tasty app. The idea grew out of Alexa's observation that people tend to take pictures of food in restaurants before they eat it. Now there is a place to share these delicious pics! And, more importantly, a app you can use to easily find certain foods wherever you are (yes, wherever, it's global!).
Since its launch in January, 40,000 foods have been spotted. I don't think that includes all the iCitizen food spotted in the last 24 hours though.
Alexa spoke about all the potential behind this new concept but also the need to create real value for customers with every new spoke. Food is inherently social, so in what ways can you cross platforms to bring people together around the foods they love?
